About...
Here I am, a woman in her thirties, but certainly not your typical female. It is all black and white. There are no gray areas. You are born and then you die. Ghosts do not exist, and no, you were never abducted by aliens... it was only in your dreams. Nobody can predict the future, and people claiming to be clairvoyant are con artists. I see the world from a scientific point of view. Maybe that's the reason I'm fascinated by computers... black, white... yes, no... 1, 0. But it's not just the fact that computers are pleasantly logical. A computer combined with an Internet connection is the ultimate tool. The greatest invention since the wheel. Trains, cars and airplanes brought us all closer, but the Internet made the whole world your neighbor. I am autodidact to a great extent. Maybe a bit related to the fact that I am very anti-social. It's not that I don't like being around people, I just don't make conversation just for the sake of conversation. I want to be challenged and learn more. My dad once said: "My favorite companion is me", and as an adult person, I understand what he meant. I just love to deepen myself into a subject in a quiet surrounding. I am married to the greatest guy in the world. He is also in the IT business, and he does magic on a unix machine. I met him in 1999 and we were married at city hall in April 2006. Every year I attend TheCamp (in Denmark). A week with interesting open source speakers and a lot of fellow geeks. It's amazing how much you learn just being around other enthusiasts. It is my favorite time of the year, and I always look forward to it. |
